Palm Beach
CLIFFTOP GARDENS
These stunning cliff top gardens sit high amongst the cliffs overlooking Palm Beach, with expansive views that take in Bouddi National Park to the north, and Whale Beach to the south.
Inspiration can come from anywhere, and for this project, the challenging site and exposed location heavily influenced the material palette selected – with durability a non-negotiable. Sandstone cut from the site, as well as additional locally sourced stone was shaped and laid by hand to form textured golden retaining walls that terrace the steep block. Complementary sandstone crazy paving and European pine decking work together to form the pavement, stairs and flooring in the back garden, articulating a light-hearted playfulness as you journey towards the infinity pool and its captivating beach views.

In the garden beds and other natural surrounds, existing plants are now joined by hardy, coastal species, including Bromeliads, Gazania, Westringia, Rhaphiolepis and Alpinia – all of which can be enjoyed from intimate entertaining areas and their relaxing furniture settings, all supplied by Eco Outdoor.
