Palm Beach
CLIFFTOP GARDENS
We acknowledge the Garigal people, the traditional custodians of the land and waters on which this landscape sits.
This garden sits high on the cliffs above Palm Beach, with views North to Bouddi National Park and South to Whale Beach.
The challenging site and exposed location heavily influenced the materials palette selected for the project, as durability was essential. Sandstone cut from the site, as well as additional locally sourced stone was shaped by hand to form the retaining walls used to terrace the steep block. Sandstone crazy paving and European pine decking was used for the pavements, stairs and flooring in the back garden, as well as the surrounds to the infinity pool.
