One growing trend that has been exciting Outdoor Establishments for the last few years is horticulture in commercial spaces. With the rapid expansion of cities and people working longer hours, it is getting harder to escape the concrete jungles we have created. These “green” bars, pubs, cafes and restaurants give people a place to relax while still being a stones throw away from the office!
Some great examples of this in Sydney include The Grounds of Alexandria and The Beresford Hotel in Surry Hills.
The Beresford Hotel in Surry Hills seamlessly integrates gardens into its urban space. Creating an inner-city oasis that is so much more inviting than just a bunch of brick walls.
The Grounds of Alexandria is another great example of urban horticulture. The venue’s latest project, The Potting Shed is an incredible example of what can be achieved with plants. Seasonal floral arrangements, shrubs, succulents, pots and large trees fill the room giving an abundance of visual stimulation. You almost don't know where to look!
