With Autumn and Winter upon us in Sydney, our attention turns to deciduous trees.
The Pyrus nivalis, or as it is more commonly known Snow Pear, is a medium-sized deciduous tree, with silvery green foliage and rounded habit. The foliage display is a bright red-orange in Autumn with brilliant white flowers through Spring. Pyrus nivalis can be used for screening, as a feature planting, or planted as an avenue. A suitable tree for most gardens in Sydney as it responds well to pruning and shaping, as well as being left to grow into its natural form.
