According to a study run by Sydney Water, up to 25% of household water use is consumed by thirst gardens! Australia is classified as an arid continent with unreliable rainfall it makes sense to pick wisely when select plants.
Outdoor Establishments completed this Paddington garden earlier this year, with our designers specifying drought tolerant, hardy planting for the street frontage. The garden was not reachable with irrigation and received harsh sun for most of the day.
A planting palette of; Golden Barrel Cactus, Blue Chalk Sticks, Agave and Hesperaloe was used and deco granite was installed as an alternative to hardwood mulch.
